Badge #1: Multi-Genre Creative Writing Workshop
Description: The Multi-Genre Creative Writing badge is an accelerated and intensive experience that includes a three-hour workshop with an expert faculty writer. In addition, the learner will gain admission to 20 hours of dynamic craft talks, readings, and presentations by experienced authors about the writing life, including a publishing panel. The learner will also have VIP seating during the evening performances with notable writers and poets.

Description: The Entrepreneurship for Scientists Skill Accelerator badge equips scientists with skills for bioscience and biotech entrepreneurship using a framework that guides learners through opportunity identification, business planning, funding, storytelling, and commercialization. Through interactive lectures, case studies, and exercises, participants will learn how to translate scientific discoveries into viable ventures.

Description: Instructed by Lorraine Marchand. Offered by Hood College's Bioscience, Research and Education Center (BREC), the Entrepreneurship for Scientists badge equips scientists with skills for bioscience and biotech entrepreneurship using a framework that guides learners through opportunity identification, business planning, funding, storytelling, and commercialization. Through interactive lectures, case studies, and exercises, participants will learn how to translate scientific discoveries into viable ventures.
